Marc Antoni, with four salons across Berkshire and Hampshire, celebrated its 60th anniversary this year. Founded in 1966 in Reading, the business was named after the sons of founder Bruno Gimattei Snr.
The Giamattei family, now led by Bruno Snr's four sons, hosted over 150 guests for a gala evening. Creative Director Bruno Marc Giamattei addressed the growth of the business over the decades. A video message from Bruno Snr prompted a toast to the milestone achievement.
The event also highlighted significant charitable fundraising. Marc Antoni announced it had raised over £270,000 for Blood Cancer UK, a cause important to the family. Aaron Giamattei then presented a visual journey through six decades of hair trends and business evolution.
Awards were presented during the evening, recognising achievements across various categories. Saskia Topp-Walker from the Fleet salon won Level 2 Apprentice of the Year, while Charlotte Giamattei of Henley Salon received Customer Care Overall Stylist of the Year. The Woodley Salon was awarded Customer Care and Retail Sales of the Year.
The Giamattei brothers themselves received a surprise 60 Year Award. The Marc Antoni brand continues to associate itself with quality and excellence in the hairdressing sector.
