The finalists for the JOICO Color Talent Awards 2025 have been announced, celebrating excellence in hair colour artistry. Over 200 entries were submitted across the EMEA region for the inaugural competition.
Entrants competed in three categories: (In-Salon) Transformation Snapshot, Young Creative Talent, and Creative Talent. A panel of European judges, including JOICO EMEA Creative Director Bruno Marc Giamattei and Editorial Hair Colourist Grace Dalgleish, reviewed the submissions.
The competition aimed to recognise stylists who push creative boundaries and demonstrate innovative hair artistry. The calibre of entries highlights the passion within the hairdressing industry for creating outstanding colour palettes, integrated with creative cutting and styling.
Finalists in the (In-Salon) Transformation Snapshot category include Maria Ahle from Juma Hairstudio in Denmark, Clinton (Chante) Herries of The Goddess Emporium in South Africa, and Charlotte Lauren Giamattei representing Marc Antoni in the UK. The Young Creative Talent category features Ruby Lowe and Alysha O’Keefe, both from Marc Antoni in the UK, alongside Regina Kiss-Varga of Fésűszépségszalon in Hungary.
Experienced stylists recognised in the Creative Talent category are Monika Woźniak (Hair Colorist Studio, Poland), Maria Sanotchi (JOICO Központ, Hungary), and József Szikrist (HAIRSZIKRISZT, Hungary). Winners will be announced in January 2026 via the @joicoeurope Instagram account.
While the awards celebrate existing talent, the continued emphasis on such competitions suggests a desire to foster emerging skills. The challenge for brands and salons alike is translating this award-level creativity into accessible, everyday salon services that resonate with a broader client base.
