HOB Salons has introduced The Colour Club, a new membership programme offering clients a fixed monthly price for colour services. This initiative aims to increase client loyalty and provide consistent value.
The subscription targets clients who regularly book root tints or semi-permanent glossing treatments. Membership includes one monthly colour appointment, a complimentary conditioning treatment, and a scalp massage valued at £20. Additional benefits are tiered across four plans, ranging from Essential (£55/month) to Ultimate (£71/month).
Higher tiers offer increased discounts on professional haircare, smoothing, glass hair, and Plex services. Members also receive product bundles and gift cards, with the Ultimate tier including a full-size Wella shampoo and conditioner set.
The Colour Club operates on a monthly direct debit with a minimum six-month commitment. HOB Salons states that places are limited in each salon to maintain service quality. CEO Natasha Grossman described the club as an initiative to enhance client experience and drive the business forward.
This move by HOB Salons highlights a growing trend towards subscription models in the beauty sector. While the benefits for client retention and predictable revenue are clear, the limited availability suggests a controlled rollout. It raises questions about scalability for other businesses considering similar schemes and the capacity of salons to manage these commitments without compromising service quality or staff workload.
