Nordberg's work with celebrity clients like Suki Waterhouse is collaborative, focusing on understanding the desired vibe and incorporating fashion choices. She highlights a shared taste with Waterhouse, noting their work often centres on signature cuts with varied styling, from red carpet volume to rock-inspired looks. A recent Waterhouse haircut drew inspiration from Marianne Faithfull in the 60s, featuring flicked ends.
Her creative process involves seeking inspiration from vintage sources, including fashion books and online archives like Vogue, often favouring physical books for unique finds over the repetitive nature of Pinterest. For aspiring stylists aiming for session work, Nordberg advises assisting individuals whose style aligns with their own. She stresses the need for practical skills, suggesting test shoots to build a portfolio that demonstrates technical ability, such as executing a good blow-dry or a sleek ponytail, before pursuing assisting roles.
