Kaitlin Collinson, a nail technician with over a decade of experience, has launched Nail Medicine, a new brand focusing on nail wellness. The brand's initial offerings include cuticle oils and professional nail files.
Collinson developed the brand concept during a Covid lockdown, reportedly inspired by a vivid dream. The unique selling point is a cuticle oil pen designed to resemble a syringe, influencing the brand's name. This distinctive packaging aims to highlight the product's medicinal, preventative, and repair-focused approach to nail health.
The cuticle oils feature various scents, such as caramel-vanilla, candy-inspired, pomegranate, and gingerbread. A key focus during development was creating a non-greasy formula that promotes long-term nail wellness. After a year of testing supplier samples, Collinson finalised the product formula.
Early client feedback validated the product's appeal, with repeat customers encouraging Collinson to develop a wider market presence. The Nail Medicine website launched in May 2026, offering products to both professional nail technicians and the general public. The range includes everyday use pens and larger dropper bottles specifically for salon professionals.
Nail Medicine is exploring expansion beyond its current product line. A forthcoming launch will introduce a hydrating hand sanitiser. The brand is currently available in select salons and directly through its website, with wholesale options for salons interested in retailing the products.
