L’Oréal Professionnel hosted Transformation Day in Paris on April 25-26, bringing together over 100 celebrities, influencers, and hair experts. The two-day event aimed to celebrate the skill of hairdressers and showcase professional hair transformations. Held at the Palais de Tokyo, the event featured guests undergoing color, hair care, and styling transformations using L'Oréal Professionnel products.
This event simultaneously served as a tribute to Hairstylist Appreciation Day, highlighting the emotional impact of hair changes on clients and the industry. Top hairdressers, including Amit Thakur, Kevin Jacotot, and Jacob Habib Khan, collaborated on these transformations.
The venue was divided into three areas: the Transformation Capsule for the services, the Outdoor Capsule for reveals and content capture, and a party with a performance called 'The Sound of Hair.' This show blended technology and artistry, with movements translated into sound and visuals via an AI-driven system developed with NOWHERE and led by Philippe Esling.
Following the event, a global Tech Talk Masterclass on April 27 offered insights from Global Creative Contributors Ben Gregory, Jawara Wauchope, Min Kim, and Nancy Stripe. These sessions were streamed with live translations, allowing thousands of hairdressers worldwide to access the techniques.
L'Oréal Professionnel Global Brand President Claire Le Bleis stated that Transformation Day is a blueprint for the industry's future. She emphasised the synergy between professional expertise and cultural influence, where collaborations between hairdressers and influencers generate new trends in real time. The brand sees advanced technologies, tech-powered education, and sophisticated, personalised salon services as key drivers shaping the professional beauty sector.
