Owner Nicole Taylor, who qualified as a beauty therapist in 2012 and completed a Level 2 qualification in 2013, acquired the building in 2022 with a clear vision to create a welcoming space.
Taylor noted that her naturally 'bubbly and chatty' personality didn't fit the more formal atmospheres of previous workplaces. This experience likely informed her ambition for NT Beauty Salon to feel like a 'second home' for clients, offering a 'calming but fun' environment where they can be themselves and leave feeling refreshed.
The salon's interior design, featuring neutral tones with pink accents, supports this feel-good ethos. Specialising in treatments including gel polish, acrylics, and builder gels, Taylor expresses a particular fondness for the Glitterbels brand, finding its aesthetic compatible with the salon's theme. NT Beauty Salon offers a comprehensive range of services, from nails and facials to waxing, lashes, and spray tanning.
Taylor's approach centres on providing a relaxed, one-to-one experience, aiming to blend the intimacy of a community salon with the professionalism expected from a larger beauty brand. Her commitment to professional development is evident in plans for further training and the eventual establishment of her own training academy to support new industry entrants.
