Charlotte Tilbury has received a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours 2026. This recognition marks her contributions to the beauty and cosmetics industry.
The award acknowledges Tilbury’s success in establishing Charlotte Tilbury Beauty since its 2013 launch. The brand now operates in 57 markets, utilising over 5,500 distribution points and employing more than 3,000 individuals. It holds the position of the UK’s leading prestige makeup brand.
With over 34 years as a makeup artist, Tilbury previously earned an MBE in 2018. Her company's valuation surpassed £1 billion after Puig's investment in 2020. Signature product lines like Pillow Talk and AIRbrush, alongside advancements in digital beauty and AI personalisation, define the brand.
Tilbury also actively supports charitable organisations, including The King’s Trust and the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The CBE highlights her entrepreneurial spirit and global brand-building achievements.
This honour arrives as the UK beauty sector's economic significance grows, expanding from around £17 billion in 2013 to over £31 billion currently. The award positions Tilbury as a key figure driving this industry expansion.
