Charles Rose has officially rebranded Crate Cheshire to Crate Collective, marking a new phase after eight years of operation. This change follows the launch of Crate Manchester late last year, a space designed specifically as a co-working hub for barbers.
Rose identified a gap in the market for barber-focused co-working, unlike established models in hairdressing. Crate Manchester, opened in December 2025, has proven successful, hosting five barbers with a consistent client base after just three months. The space offers barbers independence while leveraging the Crate brand and direct support from Rose and his wife, Alex.
The expansion of the business, with plans for two additional locations in the Midlands during 2026, necessitated the name change. 'Crate Collective' better represents the brand's evolving identity and future ambitions. This rebrand signifies a significant step, highlighting the company's growth and forward-looking strategy within the UK barbering sector.
